Kelly Feiler
President
Kelly is a mother of three large young men, and they are why she wanted to start the REC. Kelly graduated from Selinsgrove Area High School, Franklin & Marshall College, and Tulane University School of Social Work with a Master's degree and Certificate in Gerontology. After years of working with the senior population, Kelly and her husband, Steve, had those three boys, and Kelly realized the importance of supporting the social and emotional health of our youth and the lack of opportunities for that in our area. With a team of community members, we began the Regional Engagement Center in 2016 to meet that need. Kelly serves on the Board of the Selinsgrove Area Rotary Club.

Shellie McCurdy
Assistant Director
Shellie McCurdy moved to Selinsgrove in August of 2023 from Anaheim, California. After completing a certificate in Baking & Pastry from Orange Coast College, Shellie graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Folk Religion, while working as a cake decorator and pastry chef. She volunteered as an Election Worker and did some graduate work at UCLA in their World Arts and Cultures department, before pivoting again to public librarianship. She completed a certificate in Library Information and Technology while working her way up at many of Orange County's public libraries, where she developed an extremely successful series of free DIY programs and managed a Makerspace for more than three years. Shellie's passion for public service and lifelong learning led her to the REC, where she hopes to make a big impact on the local community. By moving to Selinsgrove, Shellie achieved her dream of buying a house, where she lives with her husband, Luke, and two dogs, Sam and Todd.
