How You Can Help The REC:
The power to make a change is in your hands. Please consider helping the Regional Engagement Center by becoming a volunteer or donating items to help the children at the REC. Information about these programs is attached below. Thank you for all of your help!
Material
Donations
Help the REC and the children that attend the REC by donating snacks, drinks, art supplies, office supplies, plastic utensils, balls and games.
We also create boxes of food for distribution to community members in need. If you have items to contribute to that program, we'd be grateful for those, as well.
Volunteer
Come hang out, teach a skill, tutor, mentor, play basketball, or learn something new from the kids; just be there for them! Volunteering benefits both the volunteer and the recipients of their time.
Pennsylvania requires anyone working with children or volunteering with them to provide clearances to the organization. Below are pages that will walk you through obtaining these clearances.

BACKGROUND CHECKS

PA Department of Human Services Child Abuse Clearance. https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home

FBI Background Clearance (Fingerprinting). ONLY required if you have not lived in PA for at least 10 consecutive years. https://uenroll.identogo.com/, USE CODE: 1KG6ZJ. If you have lived in PA for the last 10 years, you may complete an affidavit at coach training.
**Starting July 25, 2015 the state of PA will waive the fee for the State Police Background Check and the Child Abuse Clearance.
